We’re a group of families who share an interest in learning about the plants and animals in our city and exploring local trails and protected areas. Activities are geared for ages 5 to 12, but kids of all ages are welcome (parents stay and participate). We learn from the knowledge and skills of PFN and community members who volunteer as guest speakers at many of our events. We organize environmental stewardship activities for kids to get involved and inspired. Examples of past events: pond studies, animal tracking, owl prowl, bat walk, falconry and reptiles presentations, nature photography, cross-country skiing, crafts, bird counts, planting pollinator gardens, and more.
