Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre
If your kids love turtles, they won’t want to miss this tour and educational program at the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC). OTCC’s education staff will teach us about the turtle species in Ontario, and the factors that have led to seven of them being listed as special concern, threatened, or endangered. Children will get the chance to learn about the natural history and biology of these animals, meet and observe some live adult and hatchling (baby) turtles, and learn about the various programs at the OTCC. Ultimately, participants will have the knowledge to become stewards in their own areas. Together, we can make Ontario a safer place for turtles!
Note that there is a cost for this program, so there will be a fee of $5 per child for PFN members and $10 for non-members (no charge for adults). Registration is required, and spaces will be confirmed with payment. Tickets are not refundable but may be transferable to a friend (email email@example.com first). All money collected will go to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre.
UPDATE: This session is now fully booked, but if you are a PFN member please email firstname.lastname@example.org in case we have any cancellations.
