GreenUP to host Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Dr. Dianne Saxe on November 15, 2018
Peterborough, Ont. (November 8, 2018) GreenUP in invites the media to join us as we host Dr. DianneSaxe, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (ECO) on November 15, 2018. Her visit to Peterborough will include a presentation at the GreenUP Office and a tour of GreenUP’s most recent Depave Paradise site, which is also the largest Depave site in Canada.

WHAT GreenUP will be sharing a presentation of our programs and services, along with members of Green Communities Canada. The Commissioner will update us on recent initiatives from the Environmental Commissioner’s office.
We will visit GreenUP’s most recent Depave Paradise site to view one example of our community engagement projects.

WHERE 100 Water Street, Peterborough, ON to tour GreenUP’s most recent Depave Paradise site, behind No Frills and adjacent to the Trans Canada Trail near Millennium Park.
WHY As the ECO, Dr. Saxe is the watchdog over Ontario’s environmental, energy, and climate performance, and guardian of the Environmental Bill of Rights. The Commissioner is interested in hearing about GreenUP and GCC programs and services, as active environmental community organizations in the Peterborough area, and beyond.
