First Day 2024 January 1 is looking like it will be a beautiful day for a walk in the forest. The weather will be sunny with temperatures just below freezing. What a treat sunshine will be. The PFN will be visiting Petroglyphs Provincial Park at 2249 Northey’s Bay Rd. Woodview for the 2024 First Day walk. We will park at the gates and walk in along the roadway as far as the unique meromictic (layers of water that don’t intermix) McGinnis Lake. Hopefully we will spot some winter birds and deer. Please indicate if you would like to meet at the zoo to carpool, or meet us at the Petroglyphs gate at 12:30 p.m. Let Sue know if you need directions. We should be back at the gate by 3:30.
