De-pave paradise at Millennium Park

2019-06-01 @ 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Free

On Saturday June 1, the PFN is joining Green Communities Canada and Peterborough GreenUP at one of the largest Depave Paradise projects in Canada. Last fall, volunteers and partners helped to remove 787 square metres of asphalt. Now it’s time to plant a new rain garden! The garden will help protect the Otonabee River water quality and mitigate flooding downtown. Full details on Peterborough GreenUP’s website.

Location: between No Frills and the Otonabee River, north of the rail bridge

To join the PFN crew of volunteers, please RSVP below so that we can tell GreenUP how many people to expect. You can stay for as long as you like (no specific time commitment). Enjoy a treat after with your kids at the Silver Bean!

High school students can get volunteer hours at this activity.
