Country Style at Old Keene Rd


The diverse habitats along Sandy Lake Road, off County Road 46, north of Havelock, support the greatest diversity of butterflies in the region. Butterfly enthusiasts from across the provice visit this area to observe the variety of species present, including five species of hairsteaks. The outing will introduce you to the area and its butterfly diversity.

Jerry Ball, one of the leading butterfly experts in the province, will lead, assisted by other butterfly enthusiasts.

Bring binoculars, a camera and a packed lunch and drinks. Also, remember to bring a sun hat and sunscreen!

Meet at the Country Style on Highway 7 at the Old Keene Road, just east of Peterborough.
